Cassie Starc

Class: all levels Vinyasa Flow

Cassi is passionate about enabling holistic wellness, working with people to advance their mental and physical health through her work as a Yoga Teacher and Occupational Therapist.  Cassi came to yoga looking for a fun way to get some exercise, when working out at a gym had always felt like a chore. Yoga became a daily practice, as Cassi discovered yoga was much more than just exercise, but also a tool to shift perspective, express creativity, and relieve stress. Determined to bring this experience of positive change to others, Cassi sought out a training program and soon after graduated from Marianne Wells Yoga School (200hr YTT). Cassi aims to provide accessible yoga classes with many options in each pose, allowing everyone to create a practice unique to their own wants and needs. Currently, Cassi can be found teaching at OmTown Yoga and Oxygen Yoga & Fitness in Nanaimo, BC. You can connect with Cassi on Instagram at @cass.o.frass or on her Facebook page, “Yoga with Cassi”.

Michelle Kartz

Class: Hatha

Michelle began practicing yoga in 2001 and decided to enrich her yoga practice and ultimately her life by completing her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at OmTown Yoga Studio in Nanaimo, BC. She continues to learn and grow; completing her Fitness Instructor Specialist Certification with CanFit Pro and her 50 Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training at OmTown Yoga Studio. Grateful to share her passion with such a warm community, Michelle’s goal is to share how yoga has helped her in so many ways by cultivating an all-inclusive environment where you can feel welcome to explore your own yoga; whether it is to strengthen your practice or to experience it for the first time. She enjoys many different styles of yoga and incorporates her own experience into her classes. Michelle’s range of activities outside of yoga include anything from exploring the great outdoors to working up a sweat in the gym and she integrates this lovely sense of physicality into her classes, while aiming to keep them accessible to everyone. With Michelle you can expect to work, play, relax and have some fun!

Andrea Ting-Letts

Class: Yin/ Restorative Yoga

Andrea teaches yoga because she aspires to inspire. She believes that we are capable of igniting a revolution from within our own selves. On our yoga mats, we practice not just the physical asanas. We practice loving ourselves unconditionally; we practice honouring our own limitations but also testing our unlimited potential; we practice consciously creating peace within ourselves. When we emerge from our yoga practice as renewed human beings, we radiate peace. We are ready to create an upward spiral that unites us all.

Andrea teaches a variety of drop-in, registered, corporate, and private classes in Victoria, BC. She celebrates movement, music, and breath in Vinyasa Flow, and cultivates stillness, awareness and acceptance in Yin and Restorative. She also guides her teaching colleagues to find their voices and establish their personal brands in workshops and trainings at the Victoria Yoga Conference and Brahmanda School of Yoga.  She completed her initial teacher trainings with Eoin Finn and Natalie Rousseau, and is currently completing her 500hr Advanced Teacher Training at Semperviva, studying with Clara Roberts-Oss, Bernie Clark, Mark Stephens, Anodea Judith, and other luminaries.

Andrea Palichuk

Class: Moksha inspired flow

Andrea (e-RYT 500) has been teaching yoga for nearly 7 years and practicing for over a decade.  She firmly believes yoga can be for everyone and all bodies, and seeks to create a safe, judgement free space where people can explore themselves and take what they need from their practice.  Andrea personally experienced the benefit of yoga as a tool for addressing old injuries an dysfunctional patterns in her body, a self-care tool for managing anxiety and depression. A learning opportunity to explore habits and emotions, and also as a way to nourish her mind and spirit.  Her classes reflect this:  she encourages students to move in ways that improve stability and function, while focusing on mindful awareness of breath, moving usefully, creating space for peace and stillness, and observing the subtleties that arise in the process.  Andrea is passionate about how adaptable the amazing practice of yoga can be in serving each individual in many ways and she feels most at home when helping students get creative in exploring how this practice can best work for them.  Outside of the yoga room, Andrea is currently finishing off her last prerequisites to apply for Physiotherapy school next year.
